≈ 940
Saturdays in a whole childhood

That's it. From birth to the day they move out — about 940 Saturdays. If your child is 8, more than 400 are already behind you.

earnt. isn't about squeezing more out of the ones that are left. It's about letting a few small moments each week quietly build the adult they're becoming — before the door closes behind them.

Why earnt exists

Somewhere along the way, we started doing it all for them.

Modern parenting is relentless. It's almost always faster to pack the bag, tie the shoes, clean the room, settle the argument, fix the mistake. To remind, organise, rescue. Every one of those moments comes from love. But quietly, over years, they can shrink the space a child has to build capability of their own. earnt. exists to help you hand a little of that responsibility back — one small, doable step at a time.

The real goal

You're not really raising a child who ticks boxes.

You're raising a whole adult — one who will one day live a long way from your reminders.

The task is never really

  • Completing chores
  • Ticking boxes
  • Earning rewards

What you actually want

  • Solves problems
  • Takes responsibility
  • Keeps their word
  • Manages money
  • Contributes to others
  • Bounces back after setbacks
Picture the day they move out

Same kid. Same love. Two very different mornings.

Without the practice

"They've never really run their own day. The washing, the budgeting, the hard conversations — all still land back on you, just from further away. You worry, quietly, whether they're okay."

With years of small reps

"They pack their own life. They handle money without panic. When something breaks, they sort it. They call because they want to — not because they need rescuing. And you feel it: they're going to be alright."

The difference was never one big talk. It was a thousand small moments — started early, at home, while it was still safe to get it wrong.

How it works

Everyday life at home, turned into capability.

earnt. gives you a simple, gentle system for building four things that matter for the rest of their lives.

🌱

Build Responsibility

Children take on real, meaningful responsibilities — not because they're forced to, but until responsibility becomes part of who they are.

💪

Build Confidence

Confidence grows from doing hard things, not hearing kind words. Every responsibility they own becomes quiet evidence: "I can do hard things."

💰

Build Money Skills

Money becomes a practical lesson, not a lecture. Earn, save, spend, give, invest — real decisions, real consequences, real learning.

🧭

Build Independence

Cooking, laundry, packing, planning, the ordinary business of a day — children gradually become capable of running their own lives.

What you actually get

A calm system that does the nagging, so you don't have to.

earnt. handles

  • The list of what's theirs to own
  • Tracking who did what, and how well
  • Pocket money, payday & the money split
  • Goals, streaks and encouragement
  • A living Capability Score you watch climb

You stay in charge of

  • Which responsibilities matter to your family
  • What's a Family Job vs a paid job
  • The real money, moved through your own bank
  • A quick tap to approve and celebrate
  • The values behind all of it

Open the app and the first thing you see isn't a balance — it's your child's Capability Score, climbing every time they step up.

Capability beats convenience.
Every time.

You'll know it's working when…

It doesn't look like a tidier house.
It looks like a more capable kid.

"He's started noticing jobs that need doing — without being asked."

The moment responsibility becomes theirs

"She packed her own bag for camp. Every item. On her own."

The moment independence clicks

"They're saving up for things now, instead of asking us to buy them."

The moment money makes sense

"When something went wrong, she sorted it out herself."

The moment they bounce back

These are the kinds of moments parents describe — the everyday proof that capability is being built. As real families share theirs, they'll live here.

$49 a year is about 13 cents a day — less than one coffee a month. Life will happily charge your kids a lot more than that to learn these lessons the hard way.

What parents ask before they begin.

Isn't this just another chore app?

Chores are the mechanism, not the mission. The point is capability — a child who can take responsibility, handle money, finish what they start, and step up without being asked. earnt. uses everyday jobs and money as the daily practice that quietly builds it.

Honestly, I don't have time for another system.

That's exactly the point of earnt. — it's built to give you time back. It carries the reminding, tracking and nagging, and hands responsibility to your kids instead of you. Setup takes about 3 minutes. After that, it runs quietly in the background.

Won't paying kids for jobs teach them to only work for money?

Not the way earnt. does it. Some things are Family Jobs — done simply because you belong here. Others are paid jobs, earned through real effort. Kids learn the difference between contributing and earning, exactly like the adult world.

What if my kids resist it?

Most kids are surprised how much they like it — real goals, real money, real progress they can see. Start with one or two things they choose, keep it light, and let the wins build. You're not forcing capability; you're making room for it.

Is it too late if my kid is already a teenager?

Not at all. Earlier is easier, but starting at any age beats not starting. Teens often love the independence and the goals — saving for things they actually want, running more of their own lives.

Does earnt. actually move money?

No — on purpose. earnt. tracks what your child has earned and shows the split. You transfer the real money through your own banking app on payday. We never touch your money, and you stay in complete control.

Is my family's data safe?

Yes. We collect only what we need to run the app. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. Everything is stored encrypted on Google Firebase. You can delete your account and all data anytime.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel through your App Store or Play Store subscription settings. You keep access until the end of your billing period, then drop back to the free plan.

A note from the founder

I built earnt. because of my own two kids.

I kept catching myself doing everything for them — packing the bags, fixing the mistakes, reminding them for the tenth time — all from love, and all quietly robbing them of the chance to become capable on their own.

I didn't want to hand them a childhood of ticked boxes. I wanted to hand them a life they could actually run. So I made the simple system I wished I'd had: one that turns ordinary weeks into the small reps that build a capable, confident adult.

That's the whole mission — helping families raise capable humans. If that's what you want for your kids too, I'd love for you to try it.
